The problem of some electrical devices not working after connecting the car charger port (cigarette lighter port) of the energy storage power supply may be due to the existence of peak startup current of some electrical devices, which exceeds the protection current of the car charger port, resulting in overload protection. If your power supply has the following problems, please follow the steps in this article to troubleshoot and solve the usage problems.
Phenomenon: After connecting the car charging port (cigarette lighter port) of the storage power supply to the electrical equipment, some of the equipment cannot be used (especially the motor equipment).
Steps: Check the power of electrical equipment
Before use, please check the power of the equipment to match the rated power output of the car charger port; power exceeding the standard will lead to overload protection and the equipment cannot be used as a result.
Some equipment has a peak current (such as air pump) when starting, more than 1.5-2 times of its rated current, exceeding the protection current of the vehicle charging port, resulting in their inability to be used.
Solution: Use equipment within the rated power and leave a margin.
Note: The standard output of the car charging port is 12V/10A/120W. some devices with high starting power (e.g. inflator pump) will trigger the overload protection, so these devices can not be used. You can replace other devices to test if it is a problem with the power supply itself.
