We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. When charging your Explorer 100 Plus via your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, please ensure the correct connection method is followed.
Connection method:
Vehicle cigarette lighter socket → 8020 car charger cable (cigarette lighter to DC) → 8020 to USB-C adapter → USB-C (IN/OUT) port on the Explorer 100 Plus
Please note that the 8020 car charger cable and the 8020 to USB-C adapter are not included with the Explorer 100 Plus and are sold separately via our official online store.
To help determine whether the issue stems from a product defect or incorrect connection, please kindly check the following points:
1. Confirm that you are using the 8020 car charger cable sold exclusively through our official online store.
2. Intermittent contact can occur—please try unplugging and reinserting all connections several times.
3. After connecting the cable, check whether the LCD screen displays an “Input” value (in watts).
4. Ensure no overheating warnings or error codes appear on the LCD screen.
5. Verify that the ambient temperature during charging falls within the portable power station’s operating range (0 °C to 45 °C).
6. Confirm that your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket supplies at least 12 V / 10 A / 120 W. If output is insufficient, the socket’s built-in overload protection may activate, preventing charging.
If possible, please share a photo or short video showing the full setup—including the cable connections and the LCD screen display—so we can assess the situation more accurately and provide prompt, tailored support.
