We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. When charging the Explorer 240V2 via your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket, please ensure the correct connection method is followed.
Connection method:
Vehicle cigarette lighter socket → 8020 vehicle cigarette lighter charging cable → 8020 to USB-C adapter plug → USB-C (IN/OUT) port on the Explorer 240V2 power station
Please note that the 8020 vehicle cigarette lighter charging cable and the 8020 to USB-C adapter plug are not included with the Explorer 240V2 and are sold separately. Both are available through our official online store.
To help determine whether the issue stems from a product defect or incorrect connection, please kindly check the following points:
1. Confirm that you are using the official 8020 vehicle cigarette lighter charging cable, available exclusively through our official online store.
2. Intermittent contact can occur—please try unplugging and reinserting each connection several times to ensure secure contact.
3. When connecting the charging cable to the power station, check whether the cigarette lighter charging icon appears on the LCD screen.
4. After connecting the cable, verify whether an “Input” value (in watts) is displayed on the LCD screen.
5. Ensure no overheating warnings or error codes appear on the LCD screen.
6. Confirm that the ambient temperature during charging falls within the device’s operating range (0 °C to 45 °C).
7. Verify that your vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket supports 12 V / 10 A / 120 W output. If the output is insufficient, the socket’s built-in overload protection may activate, preventing charging.
If possible, please share photos or a short video showing your actual setup—including the cable connections and the LCD screen display—so we can assess the situation more accurately and provide prompt, tailored support.
