| AC coupling function | Some households have already installed rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems and inverters. When sunlight is abundant, the rooftop PV system powers household loads and may generate surplus energy. To utilize this surplus, users must first install a Shelly smart meter and connect it to the HP 2000U. Then, enable the AC-coupling function in the app to store excess grid energy in the HP 2000U. Using the Shelly smart meter, the HomePower 2000 Ultra detects surplus energy flow in the household grid and prioritises storing this excess energy. Combined with its self-consumption functionality, the device discharges stored energy during peak consumption periods, thereby reducing grid electricity usage. |

| Maximum compatible meter quantity | The host and meter have a one-to-one mapping. A single host cannot be connected to multiple meters, nor can multiple hosts be connected to a single meter. For three-phase power supply, one host can be installed per phase, with each host paired with its own meter. In this configuration, each host operates independently with no master-slave relationship, ensuring no mutual interference. Multiple hosts can be simultaneously managed under a single account via the Jackery Home App. |
| Operating Mode | Battery Priority Mode: This product supports various operating modes under different power source and load configurations, configurable via the Jackery Home App. In Battery-First Mode, solar energy prioritises charging the battery; any surplus solar power supplies connected loads. If solar generation is insufficient, the grid simultaneously charges the battery and powers the loads. Self-Consumption Mode: In this mode, electricity generated by solar panels is stored in the power station and consumed directly by household appliances, thereby reducing residential electricity costs. Solar generation supplies connected loads first. Time-of-Use (TOU) Mode: The power station’s TOU mode enables scheduled battery charging and discharging via the Jackery Home App to optimise household energy usage according to time-varying electricity tariffs. Smart Mode: This product supports dynamic electricity pricing—referred to as Smart Mode in the Jackery Home App. The app retrieves the next day’s time-varying tariff data from the utility provider in advance. By analysing price trends, it intelligently schedules charging and discharging cycles—charging during low-price periods and discharging during high-price periods—to maximise cost savings. These smart features enable efficient use of dynamic tariffs and optimised home energy management. |
