We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. The main reasons for reduced power generation from the solar panel are listed below:
1. Light intensity, amount, duration and installation environment: The location and tilt angle of the solar panel affect power generation.
2. Pollution of the panel surface: If dust or other contaminants are present on the surface, the efficiency of power generation decreases.
3. Damage caused by falls or impacts: If the panel has been damaged by external forces or a fall, this can lead to reduced power generation.
4. Influence of the remaining charge level of the portable power supply: Our portable power supply uses the CCCV charging method (constant current-constant voltage method). Therefore, the input power (power generation) of the solar panel is automatically controlled and gradually reduced in the final stage – that is, when the battery is nearly fully charged. In the CCCV method, charging initially occurs at a constant current (CC) until a specified voltage is reached; afterwards, charging continues at constant voltage (CV) to avoid overcharging and safely charge the battery to full capacity. For this reason, the charging power gradually slows down in the last charging phase.
5. Malfunction of the solar panel itself: Internal faults or ageing of components can also lead to lower power generation.
To determine the cause of the reduced power generation, we ask you to check the following points:
1. On a sunny day (approx. 12:00–14:00), please place the solar panel outdoors directly in the sun and use the portable power supply until its remaining charge falls below 50%. Then check whether the power generation at this time is at least 120 W.
If a power output of at least 120 W is not reached even under these conditions, please send us photos of the solar panel installation as well as the connection to the portable power supply – so that we can examine the situation together.
2. Has the solar panel suffered a fall or strong impact in the past? If you recall this, please let us know.
